Why is it so important to reduce CO2 emissions in commercial real estate?

”Well, I think there's of course, there's a moral responsibility to do so for environment, for climate reasons, obviously, but also just to just good business reasons to do so. I mean, why would you spend energy, make costs which you do not need to make? I mean, this is just stupid.

Today, if you look at tenants, most tenants do want to have CO2 measures. They want to be in a building that is also not consuming too much cost perspective, but also CO2 wise.

If you look businesswise, think about the legal framework. I mean, there are very strict legal frameworks and will become even more strict in the future where, you know, if your building is not compliant, you will simply be asked to pay penalties for that. So that's just a smart business decision to do something about it.”
